New page

The ArgEnv package provides an interface for Clean programs to the command line arguments and the environment variables.

This package has been tested on Sun Solaris with Clean versions 1.1 - 1.3 and on Windows NT with Clean versions 1.2 -1.3. It should work on all Windows and Unix versions, it may work on OS/2 (the Unix version), it will not work on the Macintosh. To use the package with Clean version 1.1 you will have to make a few changes which are documented in the source.

You can download a Unix version and a Windows version. Both archives contain a README file with further instructions and an example program.

Please note that the interface may undergo minor changes, for example when we add a Macintosh version, or the possibility to write environment variables.
